Gov. Aníbal Acevedo Vilá signed Senate Bill 2450 into law on Aug. 8, the Public Relations Practitioners Association (ARPPR, by its Spanish acronym) won a 30-something-year battle to establish a regulatory board, academic requisites and an enforceable ethics code for the profession.
